New Shoes

Paolo Nutini came out with this a few years back, but it’s just a ridiculously happy song that I happily have on repeat. Songs from the past always seem to make me nostalgic, but the older songs are a robust reminder of the past.
Hey, I put some new shoes on,
And suddenly everything is right,
I said, hey, I put some new shoes on and everybody’s smiling,
It’s so inviting,
Oh, short on money,
But long on time,
Slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine,
And I’m running late,
And I don’t need an excuse,
’cause I’m wearing my brand new shoes.

The philosophy I live by…

All the best things I have done in my life have been the result of a little spontaneity, and so this is the philosophy I live by. Don’t fear what you don’t know and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Be inquisitive as possible and don’t be afraid that you don’t always have an answer for everything. You’ll figure it out, as after all we are only human, which is why I love the quote ‘Still happily contemplating mans existential dilemma’ As it just sort of sums up how we aren’t going to discover the meaning of life overnight, and probably never, but we can just be as happy as we allow ourselves to be.
